the museum

 

Our class were learning about Enviro for our Inquiry into the Arts.When we first got in the museum we meet Auntie Ora,  she was showing us around the museum. 

Then we saw famous paintings and more of famous stuff. We were looking at the different patterns in the Art that we might want to use for our artworks.  When we were nearly at the end we got to do some drawing on the sponge and then we used the paint to create our print.

We were doing pop art with miss griffin and we got to draw a . My favourite part was painting the drawing that I did. We can also copy the drawing from the other piece of art.

I think the easiest part was drawing and painting.I found it easy to take a copy and draw it and that was the easy peasy lemon squeezy.

I found it hard to draw all four of the same drawing because we had to go back to the hall each time we finish one of the drawings.I found it hard to keep my hand on the window while I’m drawing and I think It was pretty hard.

Next time I will not talk to my friends and next time I will not distract my friends as well. The end

Snow writing

 

The class and I were learning about winter writing and I chose snow because it is fun to watch and see. There was wind, rain and snow. It was really cool writing about the snow.

I found it easy to do the title and the writing and my name because you always need a name. I also found it easy to do a cool background.

I found it hard to add more details instead of walk and walking, I had to think about other verbs.   So I wrote marched instead of walking.

koru

 

The class and I were learning about a koru. Then we were going to describe the koru in different ways.

The class and I started off on a piece of paper and we had a limited time because we had assembly.

I found it easy to write and change the font and the color. I also found it easy to to find the perfect  background and not gonna lie it was kinda tricky to find the cool background.

I found it hard to do nothing.

what makes a good comment?

 

We are learning to recognize a quality blog comment and give reasons for our thinking.The class and I had to get a buddy and mine was Maia.I had to be a thinker and to justify my thinking.next time I'm going to comment on someones else's blog and be positive, thoughtful, helpful.

I found it easy to write and read at the same time.

the Author's purpose

 

We were learning what Author's purpose is. Our learning assets were kairangahau

and Kaiwhakarite.

I found it easy to listing to the teacher and read to my self as well. I also found it easy to do 

the coloring. 

My super power writing

 

The class and I were writing about superpowers and I chose fire as my super power 

and it was cool.

I found it easy to add paragraphs and full stops and a capital letter into my writing.One of the other  easy things to do was to choose my super power.

I found it hard to do the setting and where I was going to get my powers.

This is still a draft piece of writing.

Road safety

 

I was learning about road safety.  We had to use the i-movie trailer app on the ipad to make a video to share the message around how to be safe around the roads at Mangapapa.

We had to use our Learning Assets to be successful, especially our Mahi Tahi and Kaikorero assets.

I found it easy to cross the road safely with my scooter.

I found it hard to keep the group on task so that we could get finished on the time that we had.

Next time I need to work on my collaboration and adapt to working with different people.

Reflecting on my writing

 For our writing we have been writing Narratives. We have been learning to add a great hook in or opening line to our writing and to start our sentences in different ways.

This week we also had to have a smile and alliteration in our writing. This slide shows my hook in, sentence beginnings, simile and alliteration.

We are using our Kaiwhakarite/Self Manager learning asset by reflecting on our learning.

I was learning about my culture and that stuff and it was fun to do while working.And who own the image and we had to move it to cybersmart.

I found it easy to use explore on tools and found it easy to find the images.

I found it hard to get the right picture and what the word says when I have to put the pictures on like best food and favorite color.

My pepeha

 

I was learning about my pepeha in my class and it was so fun to do.

I found it easy to use mote to record my pepeha. I found it easy to write and reread the sentence.

I found it hard to say my pepeha. I found it hard to screenshot my image.

The Triathlon

On Thursday half of the school went to Nelson Park for the triathlon. And the teachers said you can be in a team or be individual so I chose to be an individual like always. I've almost done individual for nearly six year. We had to run, bike and swim and it was fun.
 

Comix

 

The class and I were learning about a site called Comix. The site lets you do a slideshow using comix. 

There are different characters and animals and speech bubbles so we can write on them. The site was really cool to use on the chromebook.

We had to make a comic that showed others how to care for a chromebook.

I found it easy to look at the different sizes for the characters and animals, plus the speech bubbles. I found it easy to take a screenshot and put it in slides.

Xaviers bio poem

 

We were learning about how to write a poem.  I found it really cool and exciting to do it with the class

and kind of funny in the ways me and my friends were doing it. My friends and I were allowed to use the teacher's phone to take our photo. 

I found it easy to make a copy of the folder and renaming it and moving it to my writing folder.I think I found it easy to make paragraphs and add full stops to the end of the sentence. I found it easy to add a title.

I found it hard to keep up with the class and I got some help from the teacher and some friends.  I finished it just before lunch. I found it hard to write the right steps in order.
